Xinjiang Cotton is an Extra Long Staple cotton grown in the region of Xinjiang, originating from a migration of military personnel to control the boundary areas. They established themselves here and dedicated their days to agriculture in order to survive and subsequently created families. The majority of ginning and trade continues still today by the hand of the Brigades, regiments of the Chinese army.
